NetGear MR814 Wireless Router has detachable wireless antenna, attractive designa and includes vertical stand, and 24/7 phone support. The extremely affordable MR814 gives families with limited networking experience an easy way to build a wireless home network. The MR814 currently retails for less than $130 and can be found online for as little as $60. The last thing you need is another piece of hardware. Fortunately, the folks at Netgear provide a space-saving, rubberized stand for the MR814 that lets you stand the router vertically on one end–very tidy.

The MR814 also has a stylized silver case. The device itself is fairly basic. On the back, you’ll find four Ethernet ports for wired computers and one Internet port for sharing a cable/DSL connection.

The suitably named LG Dare offers a few tricks we haven’t seen before in the touch-screen phone industry. For instance you can drag and drop icons to customize your own desktop, or you can use a drawing pad to sketch ideas, which then can be sent via MMS to a friend. The LG Dare also features one of the most advanced camera-it 3.2 megapixel camera has settings like a face detection, noise reduction, panorama photo stitching and Smart Pic technology. The LG Dare has a full HTML browser, EV-DO Rev.A, and a plenty of other powerful features.

The bad thing is that the touch interface has a slight learning curve and you won’t be too pleased with the handwriting interface. Also the Web Browsing experience is quite disappointing.

Price range: $199.99-$599.99

But G1 doesn’t include a standart headphone jack and lacks stereo Bluetooth and Microsoft Exchange support. There’re also some irritating quirks that makes the gadget uncomfortable to hold. I would say that G1 is best suited for early adapters and gadget hounds, rather than consumers and business users.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a WiFi hotspot no matter where you went? Think about when you’re traveling down the road in your RV and would love to check your email. Unfortunately, WiFi access does not extend to inside of vehicles. You have to go around, searching for that hotspot. Or do you?

The PHS300 Personal Hotspot allows you to bring the internet along on your trips. It is easy to operate, and all you need is a compatible cell phone to plug it into. Compatible cell phones consist of RZRS and smartphones with built in WiFi.

The PHS300 Personal Hotspot allows you to use the WiFi in your cell phone to create a WiFi hotspot. You can then use the wireless connection on your laptop or PC. As long as you have cell phone service, you can create a WiFi hotspot. It is like a modem that feeds off of your cell phone instead of a home broadband connection.

The PHS300 Personal Hotspot also includes a firewall to keep your data safe and to keep others from using your WiFi signal. As an added bonus, it will charge your cell phone while it is using the signal, allowing for optimal usage time.

With its compact, portable design, and obvious benefits, the PHS300 Personal Hotspot is something that all people who are on the go should ad to their packing list. Work and online entertainment will be brought to a new level as you are playing online while sitting in the passenger seat of a car.

Sony has found a way to combine Bluetooth technology along with digital picture frames to create a unique product. Sony’s S Frame Digital Photo Frames offer all of the things consumers have come to expect from a digital frame, and then some. Nothing is compromised, and a great product is delivered.

Sony’s S Frame Digital Photo Frames can display ten different slide shows, a calendar, a clock, and it can display images up to 48 mega pixels. Still, that is only the beginning of what the S Digital Picture Frame has to offer. Think of those as the basic features.

Consumers can purchase an additional Bluetooth add-on for the S Frame. That will enable wireless transferring of pictures, from both mobile devices and computers that are Bluetooth enabled. People with camera phones will really benefit from that. The ease of transfer between cell phone and picture frame will be easier than ever.

The frame can be programmed to turn off and on at certain times to save power. The display is widescreen, with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. Also, there are two index modes, which allow the user to preview several pictures at once.

Sony’s S Frame has taken the world of digital framing to a new level. It has opened up the industry to change and technological advances.

Skype is a great programme giving the opportunity for voice over IP. Skype is a reality for anyone who wants to download the free PC based client. Today Netgear create a handset that does not require a PC to be used in the process or making calls.

The phone using WiFi from your wireless router directly without need for any other devices such as USB, laptops, etc. Opening the square Netgear box the SPH101 to give it its model number is surprisingly mobile phone like in its design and size. Instead of re-inventing the wheel Netgear have taken a common mobile design and changed the innards. Measuring 110 x 46 x21mm and weighing 110 grams the Netgear Skype phone is quite an acceptable size for a mobile from any of the UK networks, it is well built and feels sturdy although we are not massive fans of the off white and silver colour scheme.

Priced at a slightly expensive £150 the Netgear Skype Phone SPH101 is the worlds first mass market device to free Skype from the PC and mean you can take calls without a computer at all. However expect to see this price tumble as others like Linksys, and Belkin get in on the cat pre Christmas 2006.

The Samsung 94 Series plasma TVs feature a power cord and nothing else, enticing you to take the bullet train to Wall Mount Junction. A built-in 802.11n connection communicates with a hidden receiver located up to 200 feet away amidst a tangled mess of unsightly cords.

Rather than plug various home theater components into the back of the HDTV, such as Blu-ray/DVD players, home theater in a box systems and cable boxes, consumers can instead connect them to a receiver, leaving only the HDTV’s power cable to hide. With a range of up to 200 feet, the receiver then wirelessly transmits the audio and video signals - up to 1080i HD resolution - directly to the television set. The receiver features a number of connectivity options for easy home theater expansion including three HDMI 1.3 ports with CEC technology. Over-the-air HDTV channels can be viewed with the built-in NTSC/ATSC/QAM digital tuner.

They’ll be available in 50-inch and 58-inch varieties at the end of the year for a crotch-punching $3599 and $5299, respectively.

Meraki, which are pioneers of the first consumer wireless mesh Internet network designed to unwire the world and bring Internet access to all, introduced First Solar Powered Outdoor WiFi Access Kit. The neew Meraki Solar accessory and Meraki Outdoor Repeater are supposed to cover entire neighborhoods with outdoor wireless access to large distances without being connected to any electrical source.Meraki Outdoor can send a signal up to 700 feet and can be easily installed on a wall or even a pole outside the house. When paired with Meraki Solar accessory kit it allows the repeater to broadcast a signal without being connected to any electrical source, making it an ideal solution for any community, even emerging markets where electricity is scant or unreliable. Once connected, Meraki Solar’s power usage can be distributed throughout the day and managed by the Meraki Dashboard service ensuring the repeater is powered during peak usage times.

I hope that Meraki with their efforts will mark another step in changing the economics of Wi-Fi access, driving the cost per household of high speed connections to very low prices. The outdoor repeater will debut later this summer and you can check out more information about it at Meraki’s website.

* Works where you are - Unlike other navigation devices which need to be outdoors to work, VZ Navigator uses Verizon Wireless’ Assisted GPS technology, meaning you can find a route or get a map of the local area inside a building or sitting in your car in a covered parking lot.

* The latest information - With VZ Navigator, you have instant access to the latest maps and businesses and never have to purchase maps for new cities or insert updated business directories.
* Sharing - VZ Navigator lets you send and receive locations with your friends and co-workers who also have a Verizon wireless phone or with anyone who has an email address.
