
The next generation Sony CLIE, the PEG-UX50 is a personal entertainment organizer that looks like a minilaptop than a handheld. Doesn’t matter that the gadget has the rediculously $700 price, because it’s a slick yet highly functional gadget. The UX50 features a built-in digital camera for shooting pictures and low resolution video clips. As well as the UX50’s 480×320- pixel display has a landscape (horizontal) orientation, which makes itmore suitable for viewing Web content, pictures and video. The UX50 has a well-placed ”barrel scroller” at the bottom of the keyboard, customizable clamshell design, tactile minikeyboard, built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MP3 support, generous software package and 104MB oftotal memory.
