As computers technology progresses, it has left graphic designers behind. People who rely on paint and brushes for their work have had a difficult time fitting into the technological world. Kyle Cherry has decided to change that with his concept, the Canvas computer. The Canvas manages to take art to a new level by integrating it into the technological world.

The Canvas uses a different interface to allow artists to feel as if they are actually drawing on the computer screen. Instead of going through hurdles to create an art project, the project will be much easier and artistic using the Canvas. The Canvas monitor is touch screen and can be used as both a monitor and a tablet for drawing. In addition to the touch screen, the Canvas also has touch controls on both sides of the keyboard.

The Canvas is expected to increase artistic productivity, as it will be so much easier to use. Artists and designers will be able to have a hands on approach, while using the ease and speed of modern technology. By combining the two, artists and designers will be more efficient.

Currently, the Canvas is only a concept computer. A few kinks need to be worked out before production. The Canvas is well on its way, though, from moving from idea to product.
